I have new pictures, but I'm not sure exactly where my camera cord is. It's definitely not with me right now, so they'll have to wait.

Instead, you'll get a brief recap of the weekend's events, and maybe some details on things where no photos were taken. :-)

Thursday evening: Kathy and Corinne came over for Tome Review Board drinking meeting. We ordered pizza. There was wine. Susan brought Dan by, fresh from the airport.

Friday: I took the day off. Dan and I went to Salem. Later, Susan and Patrick joined us at my apartment, where we watched Alias, ate Red Bones and played Apples to Apples. There was wine.

Saturday: New knitting needles. MFA. Sushi at Susan's coworker's apartment. There was wine. Apples to Apples.

Sunday: Brunch at Ryles. Whole Foods. BOSTON WINE EXPO. Fondue. There was wine. Grey's Anatomy.

Monday: I had to go back to work and wanted to die. I went to bed right after 24, at 10pm, and didn't get up this morning until 9am, because I'm that lazy.

Anyhow, the most interesting story was about the Boston Wine Expo, at least for me. :-D We went to brunch at Ryles in Inman Square, only to be seated at a table right next to Kate and Alex and friends. They saw Susan first, then Dan and finally me. Kate got up, gave me a big hug, and then presented me with 2 tickets to the Boston Wine Expo!

This was incredibly exciting, but presented a little bit of a dilemna, since I was with Dan and Susan, and there were only 2 tickets. We quickly decided that we would purchase a third ticket and split the cost (they are $70 apiece normally, which is the reason I have never gone and was not planning on going this year). So we ate brunch, decided to move fondue to Susan's, went to Whole Foods to purchase fondue ingredients, put everything away and then headed to the Expo, which was at the World Trade Center. After scurrying around trying to find where to buy a ticket, we were nearly there when someone handed us 4 additional free tickets! It was our lucky day! There was so much wine tasting that occurred, and in only an hour and a half, too (it took us awhile to get there, and the event closed at 5).

I didn't taste wine properly - writing down what I was tasting, what it tasted like, etc... It was kinda crowded and just getting through to get some wine in your glass could be difficult. I do have the book with a list of who was there, though, so I'm sure I could find anything I found to be amazing (and in all honesty, the wines were yummy, but there was nothing ultra expensive that I saw).

After wine tasting there was fondue. We made cheddar beer fondue, meat fondue (where you heat the oil up and then cook the cubed beef pieces directly in it) and honey almond chocolate fondue (which called for Toblerone, but we couldn't find at Whole Foods). And of course more wine - Finger Lakes Reisling, 2001 Chianti Classico Riserva that I've had for awhile and the honey wine I bought over the summer from Montezuma - it went well with the honey in the chocolate. After dinner we watched Grey's Anatomy, and by then I was in a complete wine haze (which is not a bad thing, but did require me to go back home). And that was the end of Dan's visit, since he flew back yesterday.

Yesterday was a complete blur. Due to the wine haze that made me need to go to bed, I didn't actually sleep well. I was tempted to just go to sleep yesterday after work, but I made it through 24. I may go to bed early tonight, too (I really don't want to cook anything).

I did read this in Cleolinda's Livejournal today. I'm considering entering, but I had told myself I wouldn't buy anymore yarn until I used up everything I have now. The only problem is that everything I have now seems easily doable in 16 days (sans other projects). Maybe I'll do Cleaves for that, since that will be something totally different for me (girl who has only made scarves, a hat, a coif and a wine cozy) and the yarn finally arrived (got it yesterday). Another option would be Fuzzy Feet, since I've never made socks before. I'd have to buy yarn, but Spark has the required yarn in the color I want (periwinkle, to match my robe), and it's not terribly expensive.

I'll have to think on this.

It's my Clapotis scarf! :-)

I took a picture of it like this so that hopefully you can see the stitch definition. Here are the details:

Pattern: It was adopted from the Clapotis pattern on Knitty and the Mini Clapotis pattern on Kpixie.com.
Yarn: Ornaghi Filati Bazar (100% Egyptian Cotton), less than 2 balls (same as Kristen's coif)
Needles: Size 9

I'm really looking forward now to making the full Clapotis with Noro Silk Garden as soon as it arrives. The yarn I used is cotton and very pink, so making the full Clapotis here wouldn't have made sense (cotton is too heavy and this isn't my color). Plus, I didn't have enough of this yarn.

I realized this morning when I was uploading this picture to my computer that I never took a picture of the wine cozy I made for Herb's birthday. Here are the details anyway:

Pattern: From Knitty, of course.
Needles: Size 5, I think? I might have used 4's, but I think it was 5's.
Yarn: Lion Brand Wool-Ease (20% wool, 80% acrylic) in Forest Heather (same yarn I used for the Magic Scarf, way back when), less than 1 skein (I used leftovers). Also made tassels out of Rowan Kid Classic (lambswool, 26% kid mohair, 4% nylon) in 828 (feather) (same yarn as for the white part of Susan's Windy City Scarf). I was also going to monogram it with Herb's initials, but I didn't like the way it was turning out.

I'm sure I'll make another wine cozy some day (because they're cute!). Maybe I'll make a bunch of the red ones with the grapes and leaves. Or at least I'll make one of those. :-)

Also, I recently posted a picture of my hat, without giving any details. It's the same yarn as my scarf (Bernat Envy in Luscious Red) and the same needle size (US 15). It was knit in the round, which meant switching from knit to purl every repitition to get garter stitch. I cast on 36 stitches, I believe, and then just kept putting it on until it was long enough. Other than switching between knit and purl to get the stitch I want, I basically used the Crazy Aunt Purl "recipe" found here.

Okay, I think I'm up-to-date on my knitting projects now. This post was probably incredibly boring for all of you. :-)

I would like to say that if anyone wants anything knit for them, I'm more than happy to do it at this point. You'd just have to pay for materials (yarn, at least), because it adds up quickly! But it would be fun for me! :-)

Here's hoping the rest of my Ebay yarn arrives today!

See how pretty this is? If I didn't stay home from work when it snowed, how would I be able to take pictures of trees covered in snow! Particularly since all of this melted by mid-afternoon yesterday.

I finally have Livejournal working. I even customized the look of my "journal" (which has one post). And, at Dan's suggestion, I added friends: Dan (of course), Kathy, Julie, Scott, Andrew, Betsy, Sarah (Susan's sister), and of course non-friends but Livejournals I stalk, Cleolinda and Izzy. Maybe I'll find more soon. Doesn't matter if people add me back, I suppose - I won't be posting there anyway (there's too much in this blog to switch, and I like being able to mess with my template).

You can visit my page, if you want, but you won't find much: http://lizzardie.livejournal.com.

I still hate Livejournal, but I'll admit that the Friends page thing is nice and handy.

Ohh, and by the way.... yes, I know The West Wing was cancelled. No, I was not suprised (there have been rumors that Season 7 would be the last season since sometime during Season 6). I am both sad and happy at the same time. I have always thought they should end the show after the current administration, so while I will miss the show, I feel this is the right time.

Besides, I already have Seasons 1-5 on DVD, and I'm sure I'll be picking up Seasons 6-7 once they become available. :-)

The same goes for Alias, by the way (which got cancelled a few months ago). There had been rumors this was the last season for awhile, so the announcement was no surprise. And particularly since Michael Vartan (my favorite) is no longer a series regular, I feel this is the right time for the show to go. He's coming back for a few episodes, and this will enable them to say that he's alive and to go out in style, rather than wear out the show.

And again - I have Seasons 1-4 on DVD and Season 5 will follow when it's released. These days, thank goodness for television series on DVD!

That's all for my shows.

It's a hat that matches my scarf! :-) I finally moved the picture from camera to computer.

I've been working from home today due to snow. Yes, I am a wimp. It was snowing this morning and I just didn't feel like driving in it. If it had stopped snowing earlier, I would have still gone in but at this point it's not worth it. Just as well - the project that would have taken me all day in the office was finished just after noon. The increased productivity is probably due to guilt for staying home, less distractions from people, and more constant distraction from the television. It's amazing what gets me to actually do something.

I've been watching the news all day, which is what I do when I work from home. Highlights include the following quote about Ford: "They lost more than a billion dollars in the last year. You just can't keep doing business like that." Duh. Also, I just watched a car chase - the tire was about to fly off (you could tell it was bald) so the guy stopped, I guess, and they showed him being arrested. And as soon as that was over (that was in San Diego somewhere), they switched to another high-speed chase in L.A.! The great part about this one - the guy just stopped to let someone out of the car and then kept going. I just don't understand the mind of a criminal.

They just said that sometimes these people go to a neighborhood that's familiar to them and try and hide in a house. "Yeah, that's really not successful, partly because of the helicopter flying overhead." Yeah.

Anyhow. Weekend was pretty dull, but I did manage to buy yarn and make a scarf for Emilee's birthday. That leaves me to 5 scarvest to make for family members, with materials for 1 1/2 already purchased. Still waiting for all of the yarn I ordered on Ebay to arrive (though I suppose some of it could have come today and I wouldn't know, since I'm not at work).

Car chases are over. I should go back to trying to work. :-)

Doesn't it look like my bumper has come off? *Note to self: be careful when trying to park on top of snowbanks. *

Billy Joel last night. :-D To see Kathy's review, go here. For a complete setlist, go here. The only thing I think I can add is that the beginning of the concert made me question if I knew more than one Billy Joel song, as the people at the concert seemed to know ALL the songs, and I can't really hear the words to "We Didn't Start the Fire" anymore; all I hear is "We Didn't Go to Harvard."

Ohh, and "Piano Man" as the closer - I love that song. :-) I question whether there could be a Billy Joel concert WITHOUT "Piano Man," and I don't think there can be (and last night Kathy and I said the concert couldn't be over until he played it). Or at least, I'd be mad if I payed for Billy Joel tickets and there was no "Piano Man." And there's nothing better than singing the chorus with 30,000 other people with no one in the band and no instrumentation. That happened at Bon Jovi, too (I think with "Livin' on a Prayer," but I can't quite remember).

Favorite Billy Joel line from last night: "A lot of these songs have drinking references. [States some drinking references.] I wonder why that is." :-)

I want to post comments on people's Livejournals, but I hate posting anonymously. So I signed up for a Livejournal account (Lizzardie, of course), just so I could post comments and have people know it's me. Except, I seem to not be able to verify my account. I had the re-email me the verification email or whatever, and I never got it. They are making me mad, and I continue to not write comments because they are stupid. So there.

My coworker and I stole a bookcase today and made it a wall. So now our hallway has only one entrance, and is more like a real office. It's amusing to have people come through and peak their heads in now. :-) I'll remember to bring my camera here one of these days so I can snap a picture.

Yeah, my mom took this picture. I think it's a picture of my cousin Max taking a picture of the oyster stew my grandmother made on Christmas Eve (it's a tradition - the stew at least).

I won my Ebay auction last night for the yarn for Clapotis. I also went a little Ebay crazy with the yarn, purchasing some yarns for things for me plus some for someone else. Now that I'm nearing the end on the Christmas scarves for various family members (okay, I have one to go, but I think it'll go somewhat quickly), I've decided to make scarves for my immediate family (I don't know why). Emilee's will need to be completed in time for her birthday, but the others I'll probably just send randomly. That's 6 scarves, people. I have the yarn for 1 1/2 of them. I know what I'm making for 5 of them. This is going to take awhile.

Billy Joel tonight with Kathy for more fun at the Garden.

I uploaded photos to my Flickr account for the first time in forever, and gave myself a personalized address there (also the link on the sidebar): http://www.flickr.com/photos/lizzardie/. Most of the pictures there you'll have seen here, but they'll be grouped into categories, and will probably contain a few more (though the ones I really like will be here anyway). I'll have to try and remember to update it every month, or consider buying a Pro account so I can update more often.

Yes, I am bored. :-)

- Lizzardie, at 4:58 PM Post Link

I keep wanting to post one particular picture, but it is on my camera. So I've been procrastinating. Instead, you get 7 stockings lined up above a fireplace. Yes, I know Christmas was nearly a month ago - we don't have a fireplace in the Illinois house, though, so it's rare to get all the stockings hung on the fireplace. My grandmother knit all of these for us years ago (before Emilee was born in fact - Emilee's was made separately). Mine is the third from the right.

I have things to say, stories to tell, maybe, but not now. I should be working now.

Moment of a LIFETIME (to make up for not posting yesterday):

At work, I have the Bad Girls' Rage-a-Day calendar. Wildly inappropriate for work? Yes, but then again, you'd understand why I don't care if you ever visit my office. It's also wildly hilarious and brightens my day.

Anyway, our CEO was wandering around my part of the office just a few moments ago, and decided to read straight from my calendar (after snagging Jelly Belly, of course). First he read yesterday's, which was a "Bad Girl Moment" about Ann Richards, cool. Then he read today's, which was a "Snip 'n' Save: Dating Tips." He read the following things out loud:

Tip #2 On your first couple dates, arrange to do something super casual and/or sporty without wearing any makeup or flashy clothes. Then arrange for a nice dinner on your third date. Go all out and wow him!

Seems pretty mild, right? Read on:

Tip #3 When he keeps staring down your shirt, don't feel embarrassed and pretend not to notice. Instead, stare proudly at your gorgeous breasts, lovingly cup them, and say, "Yes, are they delicious or what?"

I won't say anything else.

Part 2! I hope Kristen likes her coif. :-)

I want to make this. I went to 3 different yarn stores today - Windsor Button, Woolcott and Co. and The Knittin' Kitten (I already knew that Mind's Eye Yarn doesn't carry the Noro Silk Garden I want). The Noro yarn is more expensive than I remember. :-( Currently I'm bidding on some on Ebay, because it's cheaper there, and I found a discontinued color there that I love. One day, I will make one of these in the Lorna's Laces Lion & Lamb the pattern calls for, but not anytime soon - it's too expensive. But they have a color called Tuscany, so I must have it. :-)

It's probably just as well that I didn't find the yarn I want at the price I want, given how much yarn I have and the number of projects I need to finish. The scarf I'm working on now is driving me crazy, because it's simple enough, but it's taking forver.

I guess I'll get back to that and watch football. And eat burnt cookies.

This will be part 1 of 2 parts.

This is Kristen's coif. Pattern can be found on Knitty. Additional details:

Yarn: Ornaghi Filati Bazar (100% Egyptian Cotton), less than 1 ball
Needles: Size 9

I added to the body of it, to make it fit my head, which seemed to work for Kristen's head (as you'll see the next time I post a picture). When I found this yarn, I had to buy it. The color screamed Kristen, and who can resist Egyptian Cotton yarn? It reminded me of my comfy sheets and the song in Uptown Girls. :-)

Tonight I had dinner with Corinne at Zuma (because when she thinks Lizjones, she thinks Zuma, apparently). I had this thought as I was traveling downtown about how much I love Boston. It's amazing how I don't get tired of that view from the T as the Red Line crosses the Longfellow Bridge over the Charles River. I walked from Park Street to Quincy Market (which is basically part of the Freedom Trail), taking in the old churches and cemetaries set between the newer, more modern buildings. That's all it really takes sometimes for me to feel at home in my adopted city.

I've posted at least one picture from the backyard (err, really, the dock, because there was no backyard) of the house my parents rented in Florida. This one is from my aunt's backyard at sunset.

When it gets warmer, I'm going to go and take sunset pictures from on top of the library at Tufts. I think I can get some really pretty sunset pictures with maybe Boston buildings in the background. We'll see, but the top of that library is the highest area that I can walk to.

Nothing really new since last night. Just wanted to get today's picture in before I forgot.

No, this does not mean that I'm done with the holiday vacation pictures. Just thought I'd take a break, since there are also knitting pictures to post.

This is the scarf that I gave Susan for Christmas. It's called a Windy City Scarf, and the pattern can be found in the Stitch 'n Bitch book.

Just to be thorough though (since I can't actually post the pattern), here are the additional details:

Yarn: 1 skein each of Rowan Kid Classic (70% lambswool, 26% kid mohair, 4% nylon) 828 (feather) and 845 (batter) (I THINK on this last one - can't find the tag)
Needles: Size 9
I don't remember how long it ended up being. Or how wide.

This, and the coif I gave Kristen (pictures coming soon), were the first received knitted presents I made. I have some others finished and just waiting to be sent out, and there are of course others in the works. Susan and Kristen both claimed to like their gifts, and I do hope they did (the compliments seemed genuine). It's a nice feeling, because I think they are really the first homemade gifts I've given to friends, and other than cookies, the first homemade gifts that didn't seem cheesy. I don't want to force my new hobby onto other people, but at the same time, knitting makes you want to give, and I feel like I have the ability to create some nice things.

Of course, after all of the gift giving is done, I'm going to have to start making some fabulous things for myself (without letting the hobby get out of hand moneywise). I already have a few ideas....

I forgot to mention today that the ostrich fillet in red wine marinade and roasted sweet potatoes with saffron aioli was delicious. It really wasn't all that difficult to cook, and it was one of the more flavorful things I've cooked. :-)

Some family members while at Universal Studios. From left to right, Christina, Emilee, Rebecca and my dad. I didn't take the picture and in fact was not even there (I skipped Universal Studios in favor of shopping and sleeping and not walking around all day), so I have no comment about Emilee and the gun in the shark's mouth.

Saturday night, while at Herb and Jeff's, we all had a conversation about Gmail. I'm fairly certain that every one of us who was there uses it except Herb. Herb is morally opposed to Gmail, in fact, because it has computers reading your emails to determine which ads to display in the sidebar. Despite the fact that Hotmail and Yahoo could do this, because they claim to own all of your email there, he feels that they are better because despite the ability to do so, they do not actually read your email. And while Gmail may become ubiquitous (no other company could do exactly what they do for quite some time, because Google patented the technology), Herb would not like to contribute in any way to its success. My take on it is that you should never, ever trust that your email is one hundred percent secure (and there are of course companies that would be happy to track down emails if you paid them to do it), so it doesn't bother be.

Anyhow, I've been paying a bit more attention to the ads that come up in the sidebar because of this. Today I received a phishing email from Ebay, which I found totally fascinating. I immediately knew it was not legit, because it was supposedly a question about an item I'm selling, and I've never sold a thing on Ebay. Upon closer inspection, it was immediately apparent that hardly a single link went back to Ebay, though it looked remarkably like other emails I have gotten from Ebay in the past. I reported the email to Ebay, and then went back to look at it again, this time paying attention to the ads in my sidebar. I wish I still had them so I could give you the exact titles and URLs (I have since reported the email to Gmail as a phishing email, so the ads no longer show up), but you'll have to take my word that all four of them had to do with spoofed emails. At first I was quite impressed that Gmail's algorithms enabled them to detect that the message was some sort of spoof/phishing scheme, resulting in the ads in my sidebar (which of course is another clue to me about the nature of the email). Then it occurred to me that if their algorithms are good enough for that, they should also be good enough such that the spoofed email never made it to my Inbox in the first place. :-)

No picture today. I have more from my vacation, and I'll resume posting those tomorrow.

Last night there were many picture-worthy moments, but I always failed to get the camera out too late. :-( We went out to Tasca in Brighton for Susan's birthday dinner (me, Susan, Jeff, Kristen, Cheryl and John). The food was yummy and the sangria was delicious. Afterwards, we all went to Jeff's where we all watched the football game with Herb (the other three girls and I arrived before Jeff and John did, so I'm sure Herb, decked in Patriots things, was oh so pleased to answer the door and have 4 women walk in 3 minutes before the game started!). There was also Chinese Rummy, which I did not play (seemed awfully complicated to me), shotglass chess, where Herb could have slaughtered me but chose to respectfully beat me instead, and lots of red wine (we put wine in the shot glasses, and you had to drink when you took an oponent's piece, which would seem to even the playing field if that was even possible given the difference between mine and Herb's skill levels). There was also much Christmas present exchanging, which was nice.

Today I have done nothing. I often forget that I cannot leave my errands to Sunday, because nothing is open on Sunday. So there was grocery shopping and cooking dinner (ostrich filets marinated in red wine, roasted sweet potato wedges with saffron aioli and green peas - it's all still cooking so I'll have to tell you the results later). And I start walking again tonight! I know it's cold, and my ankle is still sore, but I need to get back in the swing of thing. Just as soon as I eat.

Of course, I haven't eaten anything all day (for the most part), so I'm STARVING. Which is why I am posting - it's taking my mind off of the hunger pains. :-) Now back to cooking....

Part 2 of a 2-part series. Now Grecia says, omg, how do I get down from the roof?!?!?!

Hehehehe. She was the least friendly of the 4 cats at my aunt's house (all outdoor cats) so I do not feel bad making fun of her.

A rare weekend post. I've decided to post New Years Resolutions, because that will force me to make them and have them written down. :-D

  1. Restart and stick to my eating and exercising regime (but no dieting!). Maybe join the gym that opened across the street from my work. I'd like to take a yoga class, possibly. Include in this dressing better and wearing makeup and putting on jewelry more often.
  2. Keep the knitting habit. But curb in the yarn buying.
  3. Pay down, maybe even eliminate, credit card debt. Bad credit cards.
  4. Research, save for and buy a new car. May push this to the end of the year to make it more financially realistic (my last car payment is currently scheduled for September 1st).
  5. Stick to my budget. Buy bedroom furniture.
  6. Get more serious about professional things. This would mean being more ambitious at my current job, speaking up more, doing more, etc... Also, start thinking about long term goals. I won't be at the current job forever, and maybe I should start figuring out where I want to be in 1 year, 5 years, 10 years, etc...
  7. Get out more. Have more fun. Meet new people. (This one is probably the least likely to happen, as meeting new people and having more fun contradict each other in my book, but we'll see.)

Okay, now I have resolutions to break, fabulous. Though yesterday's news of a raise and fear about my student loan payments increasing in 2007 wil help with all things financial.

This will be Part 1 in a 2-part series.

Grecia says, "Yes, I'm on the roof. So what?"

Office holiday party thing was decent last night, other than the fact that I felt awful. It was at Silvertone on some street off of Tremont (I could look it up but I do not care to right now). I did get to have several scallops wrapped in bacon, which was definitely the highlight. As Lauren (co-worker) said, what can be better than something wrapped in bacon? Even bacon wrapped in bacon is good.

Someone took pictures last night and sent a link to them around. I considered stealing one and posting it, but that would be too much effort. Instead, you can go and look at them if you'd like:

http://flickr.com/photos/peterskim/sets/1769103/

I got home at around 11:15, which wasn't bad, except I felt awful and was tired (note to self: maybe drinking so much on Wednesday night is a bad idea when you know you'll be doing something Thursday night). I pretty much went right to bed, which meant that I did no knitting yesterday. At all. I'm pretty sure that was the first time that happened since I started knitting in November - I'm fairly certain that I've done at least a few rows every single day. Scary.

It's a sponge tree!

Tarpon Springs, FL, which is where I was for my vacation, is best known for its sponge docks. There are... sponge people... who go out onto boats and harvest sponges. And then they sell them. So you can go to the sponge docks and buy sponges and other touristy Florida things. There's also a very large Greek population there, which I did not remember from my previous visits (the last of which was 9 years ago, so maybe that's part of it) but Demetri even knew that. My dad ended up getting a bunch of sponges in his stocking, because my mom will buy them for him to paint with. That's the only use I know of (other than decoration) for a sea sponge.

It's very early. Or at least, it feels that way. I've been up for the last hour and a half, unable to sleep. Now that I can't really go back to bed, I feel like I could fall asleep. I hate that. Instead, I will get dressed and go get coffee and then go to work. Tonight is the company holiday "party." I wish I felt a little better this morning (i.e., not hungover, as is the norm for Thursday mornings), but it's my own fault. The first part of the celebration is ice skating, which I'm not going to, due to ankle issues (it's getting better every day, but ice skating is dangerous as it is), and then we're going to some bar downtown. I'll probably come back here, so that I can take the T into the city, because I hate driving in downtown Boston and I know I'll want to be able to just take the T back. The flaw in this plan is that when I drive home, I'm so not going to want to leave. So I'll have to force myself out the door.

Of course, that's what I have to do every morning, so I'm sure I'll be able to handle it.

Sunrise over Lake Tarpon on Christmas Day. With some bird.

I have a lot of trouble getting in motion in the morning. My alarm is set for 7:30am, I hit snooze until at least 8, and then I spend half an hour on the computer before I even think about showering, making coffee, etc... When I finally do get to work, I have to plug everything into the laptop, put my lunch into the fridge, wash my coffee mug, get a spoon, eat breakfast, drink my coffee, etc... So I get very little done in the morning.

I kinda wish I had the energy to get moving faster. That would probably require going to bed earlier, and I don't think I'm willing to do that.

The Magic Scarf (pattern courtesy of www.crazyauntpurl.com). I used Wool-Ease in Black and Forest Heather, with size 9 needles. This was my second finished knitting project (after the red scarf) but I just wove in the ends last night because I just found my yarn needle and I figured I should do it. This scarf has no recipient yet, so it will just sit with my knitting stuff until I figure out what to do with it.

The pictures are back, though, particularly now that I transfered them to my computer. So I hope you're all looking forward to seeing scenes from my vacation.

We were supposed to go out for Susan's birthday tonight, but that looks to be moved to Friday. Which is fine with me, because I'm tired.
