Okay, so I just updated my imood (I think) for the first time in about 4 months or so. Go me. I'm really on top of things lately, aren't I? And I'm updating for the third time in about an hour, which is unprecedented (unless you used to read this when I was in Connecticut). Maybe that makes up for the 6 weeks or so I went without updating. Doubtful, but cut me some slack!

So, while I was updating my imood, I saw that one of the choices was undesirable. I almost put that, because, well, I feel that way some time. Someone told me the other day that I was just going through a sexual draught and that things would improve. I'm not sure that I believe that because it seems to me that my entire life has been a sexual draught, with a few brief moments of something different. One would hope that will eventually change (eventually meaning soon), but I prefer to just not think about it so much because then it doesn't depress me and I don't start thinking about what could possibly be wrong with me. Because I don't know the answer to that.

Anyway, my general mood lately has definitely been overworked and exhausted. Very sleep-deprived. While there are some things that I love about this semester, I'm actually starting to look forward to my month at home. It's really going to be the last time that I get to pretend I don't have any responsibilities. A whole month - I haven't had that much time to not be in school or work, since.... I guess the summer between junior and senior year of high school. Wow, that was a long time ago. It's very hard to imagine being that lazy, but I'm sure I'll manage. TV, fixing up my computer (still wondering if I can convince my parents I need a laptop for Christmas), sleep, more sleep, more TV.... ahh. There is of course Jaime's wedding, too, but that's not too stressful for me. Ahh....just about 2 months now, I guess. Where did the time go?

Hehehe, I like this one! Can you tell I'm at work, where the Box Office is completely dead? I don't remember the last time I worked an easier show! =) I should be doing physics, though. Or research for my business plan. But I'm not. Ahh well...

What Luzerne St Tavern Regular Are You?

brought to you by Quizilla

So first I'm Dan. And then the second time I took the quiz, I was Courtney, which I think is a better match. But I guess I have to put the first result up, right?

This is only relevant and/or amusing if you know these people, I imagine. I did have fun at the Luzerne St Tavern this past weekend, though I'm sad that I got to miss the game of Cones! I still don't know how to play!

All right, maybe I can try the short, brief update thing. =) Still sick. I get sick too often for my liking, I think. Going to bed at 3:00am does not help. In a few minutes I will drive up to campus for my group project meeting (because we all know I won't walk there), which hopefully will not be too too long, and then I will come home and sleep. The news of the day is that my dad said he'd pay for whatever is wrong with my car (lifter anyone? why does every guy I talk to know what this is and I have no clue?). The hope is actually that it is under warranty still (because that's what I got a new car for, right?) but given my propensity for crashing my car, who the hell knows. And I got the invite to Jaime's wedding shower today. She's registered at Target, which is great, because we have a Target in Ithaca now! I know the townies are all upset about the whole massive chain thing, but, well, I'm from Chicagoland, dammit, and I'm happy for the civilization. I can't wait for Barnes & Noble to open so that I can go back and forth between Borders and Barnes & Noble like I do at home! And I bet Barnes & Noble means Starbucks coffee and frappaccinos. Gotta love that.

I clearly have not continued updating. I suck. And I'm sick now, so I don't think I will be updating right now so much. I should be in bed. But, here's a little tidbit for you all: Went to Rochester this weekend for Delta Alpha's Founders Day. Their banquet Friday night was formal, so I wore my dress from prom, as some of you may know is strapless and form-fitting (but it still fits!). And, well, yeah, spinning in a circle was too much for the dress, and I managed to flash everyone. Luckily for me, only about 3 people saw, so now I just think it's funny. =) That's all from me for tonight.

After updating and visiting my site and seeing that Rachel left a message for me to update, ohh, about 2 weeks ago, I decided that I would start my chain of updates tonight. At the end of my updates in a few days, I may try the 100 things thing that Rachel did, but that's a ways off, so we'll see. The subject for tonight: my car.

So you may be wondering about why my car gets to be a subject. It's because I've decided that I should perhaps not be allowed to be on the road. On top of that, I should know more about cars because I own one. So, about 2 weeks ago (on the day that Rachel left her message for me to update, actually), I managed to get into 2, yes 2, car accidents in one day. Basically, I was in a big hurry, trying to leave for Rochester, and too many things were going on at once and all this nonsense. I was driving up to Risley from my lovely apartment on Stewart Ave., went to make a left turn, and got rear-ended. It was a Friday, on the Cornell campus, at around 4:30pm, when it was raining. Since I've always suspected that eventually I would get into a car accident in Ithaca (though I always figured it would be in Collegetown and I'd hit a person), this shouldn't have surprised me. Turns out that the guy who hit my car is Crystal's boss at CUEMS, and luckily, there was no damage. So no police report was filed, and I carried on my merry way to go and get Demetri. I was not happy, though, and as some of you may know, when I'm not happy, I talk. A lot. Very fast. So, driving back to my apartment (hecause of course I did not remember everything I needed), I pointed to Demetri where accident #1 occured (at this time, there had only been one accident). Luck would have it that I was going around a bend at that time, though, and right there, a car was parked illegally in front of a fire hydrant and I was not expecting it to be there and I wound up hitting it. I take that road almost everyday - I know it so well, and yet, of course there'd be someone there just when I needed there to not be someone there. This time there was damage, to both cars. The guy, a member of the marching band, was kind enough to not call the police, but I was fairly devasted at the damage to my bumper. At least no suspended license this time. I still drove to Rochester, though, and had a good time. My car must hate me, though.

So,while I don't think that I hit the car hard enough to cause mechanical damage, now my car makes some sort of noice. Thankfully I'm not crazy, and other people have noticed said noise as well. Herb was kind enough to take my poor little car to have an oil change earlier in the week, and he talked to the mechanic there about it. He reported to me that it might be a loose lifter, but of course I have no idea what that means. This is why I should know more about cars. How can one own something that costs more than 10 grand, and no virtually nothing about it, other than how to read the odometer, gas meter and rpms? Ohh, and I know what about 3 of my gears do (those being Park, Reverse and Drive). And I know that a little light comes on when the overdrive is turned off, so I always leave it on. That's about it. It was so nice when my car was new, but now it's not so new and I actually have to worry about stuff other than, how am I going to make my car payment. I guess I should be lucky that I have a car that thus far has given me little to no trouble, and that really, there's so little wrong with my car that I thought nothing of driving it 250 miles to Princeton, but now I've become spoiled. Same thing with my cell phone, I guess (side note: my cell phone got run over by a car on Monday, and I can't live without it to the point where I had to go and buy a new one first thing Tuesday, it was sad). I should do one of two things - either read up on cars, find out how they work, etc.... or give up my technological luxuries and be content in the fact that I don't have to worry about any of that.

All right, I'm done with my car update - between my accidents and my windshield wipers and driving in NJ, I don't think I want to drive all that much anymore.

I am officially the worst updater in the world, and I apologize to my maybe 3 or 4 loyal readers. I'm currently in Princeton, NJ, visiting Amy and we were talking about my webpage and my sitestats and all that, and I decided, hey, maybe a quick little update, since I haven't updated in about 6 weeks, would be in order. To be fair, I tried to update last Saturday when I was up until 5:00am for no good reason, but my computer crashed on me, as it likes to do lately. I'm wondering if I can convince that my parents that I need a nice new laptop for Christmas, but I doubt it. Car and rent payments are a higher priority right now.

My time in NJ has actually been a lot of fun. It's Fall Break right now, and I just had a mini "midterm" session (I had 4 tests in 3 days, *shudder*), which is why I have time to be in New Jersey. I'll be back tomorrow, when I'll be working on some lovely treasurer stuff, trying to get caught up in my reading, hopefully getting a tattoo and spending some quality time with my friends, including going apple picking, which is definitely something that I have to do this year before I graduate and possibly leave Ithaca.

The drive here was not so fun. It rained for the entire drive, and apparently, along with other problems, my windshield wipers are in need of replacement. In fact, Amy does not plan on letting me leave until I get them replaced. Needless to say, I was unable to drive very fast yesterday because I couldn't see out my window, and NJ highways are not the best designed highways in the world. My first experience with a NJ jughandle was not exactly pleasant, and believe me when I say that the last thing I need right now is another car accident!

The rest of the trip, though, like I said, has been enjoyable. Amy took me to this nice little Italian cafe last night with her friend Valerie. We ordered a bottle of wine (a nice full-bodied sangiovese-cabernet blend - yum - I love knowing more about wine now!), I had pizza and soup, uum. And then we went to this ridiculously cheep ice cream place, where I got a very large cone of delicious cashew and caramel ice cream for less than 3 dollars. Today, we got up really late (I got to sleep in! I really needed sleep!), then went to Starbucks and Panera (ohhh, how I love those places), did some shopping and then drove all the way up to the Meadowlands to see a NJ Devils game. The Devils won! Amy and I agreed that just hearing the fans yell "sucks!" after each of Columbus's players were announced was worth the trip to the game, and I can't wait for hockey season to start at Lynah! We had corner ice seats, but they were far enough up that we could see everything and our view was not obstructed. Now we're here, in Amy's room, relaxing.

It's been really nice to just calm down for a little while. I'm taking so many credits and just so busy with PSP and CPC and finding a job that I haven't had time to stop moving. I've been getting really little sleep and the littlest things have been getting to me because I've been so stressed. Thursday after my last test it was like 10 pounds had been lifted from my shoulders because I got to not worry about all the stuff I needed to do and I was looking ahead at such an easy week. I'm still looking ahead to such an easy week, yay.

Now let's just hope that Helen is still willing to get into a car with me after the bad trip down to Princeton, and that it takes less than 6 hours to get back to Ithaca tomorrow. I am going to try desperately to give a comprehensive update about what I've been up to since classes started by the end of Fall Break (Tuesday night). Maybe I'll even divide it into sections because there's so much to talk about!

Until then, thanks for those who actually read this and have not given up on me! =)
