This will be part 1 of 2 parts.

This is Kristen's coif. Pattern can be found on Knitty. Additional details:

Yarn: Ornaghi Filati Bazar (100% Egyptian Cotton), less than 1 ball
Needles: Size 9

I added to the body of it, to make it fit my head, which seemed to work for Kristen's head (as you'll see the next time I post a picture). When I found this yarn, I had to buy it. The color screamed Kristen, and who can resist Egyptian Cotton yarn? It reminded me of my comfy sheets and the song in Uptown Girls. :-)

Tonight I had dinner with Corinne at Zuma (because when she thinks Lizjones, she thinks Zuma, apparently). I had this thought as I was traveling downtown about how much I love Boston. It's amazing how I don't get tired of that view from the T as the Red Line crosses the Longfellow Bridge over the Charles River. I walked from Park Street to Quincy Market (which is basically part of the Freedom Trail), taking in the old churches and cemetaries set between the newer, more modern buildings. That's all it really takes sometimes for me to feel at home in my adopted city.
