I should be studying for the final I have in oh, 37 minutes....

Congratulations, you're Boston, the rebel city.
What US city are you? Take the quiz by Girlwithagun.

The last question on the test was, Which city would you most like to live in? I had originally put Boston, just on a whim (I've never even been there), and thought I'd tainted the results. So I tried going back and changing, first to NYC then to Chicago, and I still got Boston. I then tried every city on the list, still got Boston, and decided that either all of my answers put me in the Boston category or that question had absolutely no weight whatsoever.

I really, really should be studying for my final.

All right, so I'm once again being an update slacker. Let me give a thorough synopsis of this past week or so.

First, the boring stuff: So much work has been turned in since my last update. Namely, 3 projects (plus a presentation for one of them) and a final are out ot the way. Now I have 2 finals and 1 project left to go, and life will be just that much sweeter on Monday, when it's only 1 final left. Yippee! I so need a break from schoolwork. And next semester won't be so stressful, yay! 13 credits is definitely going to be enjoyable. =)

On to more fun stuff.... PSP Induction/Officer Transition/Formal was on Sunday. The whole Induction day fun was much less stressful for me this semester than last semester, which is good, because it meant I could relax and enjoy myself, rather than be all worked up about everything. I'm no longer Treasurer, officially, though there are still loose ends to tie up, of course (silly officer transition before I'm completely done, sigh). And the formal was a lot of fun. Herb escorted me, which was cool, even if he did get into town and show up at my apartment at 6:25pm, a mere 35 minutes before the formal was supposed to begin, and he still needed to shower and shave. We managed to get there reasonably on time, though, and I had a lot of fun. I had a new dress, too! I didn't realize how happy a new dress would make me until I bought it on Saturday and took it home. It's great - it's a black slip dress with a cross over thing on the bodice and lace trim on top. I'm glad it's so great, because it was probably the only dress that I would wear that was in my size in the entire city of Ithaca! Anyway, the afterparty was fun, too, especially the "real" officer transition of apple pie shots! Hehehe. =)

Herb then remained in town until yesterday, meaning I had a guest on my couch for most of the week (which was nice, considering none of my three roommates were sleeping here this week!). It also meant that while I was working and studying during the day, I was also blowing everything off at night for fun festivities such as movies, West Wing and bowling. Hey, I've still gotta have fun if I'm going to survive this week. My couch is free again, though, which might be a relief to my roommates, I'm not really sure. My feeling is that if they're not here, then they can't complain about guests.

The other excitement of the week is that I got pictures back! I developed two rolls of film, and the first picture on the first role was from August! Yikes! I do love pictures, though. =) I've been scanning so many of other people's pictures, too.... what I really need to do over Winter Break is sort them and categorize them and turn them into jpegs and all that nonsense. Should be a good time.

I think now that sleep would be a very good option for me. I like sleep. Sleep is good. No commitments tomorrow. =)

Mmmm.... coffee, sugar.... no motivation. *sigh* It's almost four in the morning and I'm still having trouble motivating me to write this paper. Maybe it's because I still have 12 hours. Maybe it's because I don't write papers anymore. Maybe it's because as cool as simulation is, I just don't care about ambulances. I don't know. But I'm up (and kinda wired from all of the coffee). And slowly but surely the paper is coming along. There are five parts: Executive summary, Modeling approach and assumptions, Model verification and results, Discussion of results and conclusions, Appendix. I've got the Appendix done (hehe, the easy part, go me) and I'm almost done with the modeling approach and assumptions. I figure if I can get all but the Executive Summary done, I'll get a few hours of sleep, get up, write the summary, write up my physics homework (that Will was kind enough to solve for me), turn it all in, try and get something done for my entrepreneur group (so that the group members don't kill me), go to work, keel over and die, whatever. I just want to get through tomorrow, and then I'll be able to relax a little (for a few hours).

So... other updates. Home was okay. I slept most of the time, barely left the house. I only left on Friday to buy Jaime a wedding shower present, then Saturday for the dress fitting and then again for the shower. The bridesmaid dress is really nice. It doesn't poof out or anything, so it's actually something I'd be willing to wear again to another formal event (how impressive is that?). It does have to be taken in quite a bit, though, because I'm in between sizes. Whatever. And the shower was fun. Jaime's family is really nice, and it was amusing to see Jeremy tortured by being there. Hehehe. I got to see Amy Austin and everything, which was cool. It was weird to be ushered off and have to sit at the wedding party table, though. Amy and I had sat down with Venassa (who I hadn't seen since graduation) and another girl that Jaime knows from work, and it was weird to have to leave that table and such. Ahh well, such is life.

Other than that... kinda dull. We did the family thing on Thursday and everything. That's always fun. But the food was good, so no complaining, right?

So... it looks like I'm working over Winter Break. I had always planned on vegging for a month over Winter Break senior year. But no. I'm going back to work at my mom's company for three weeks. And I don't really want to, but the thing is that it's so easy for me to get a job, and I'm really poor. I could just mooch off of my parents some more, but I don't think (okay, I know) it wouldn't go over very well if all I did was lie around the house and then ask for money. Besides, we all know what would happen if I was just lying around the house - lots and lots of chores, blah! So work it is for me.

And now that I've wasted a good amount of time, back to my paper....
