I should not be awake, but I am. In fact, I just got home. Gotta love work party night, every Thursday night. We played Celebrity, aka charades on crack, as Jackie called it and some dice game called 7-11-doubles. Someone please remind me next time about how drunk you get when you play dice drinking games. And let's all keep in mind that I hate beer, blech.

I got a few plants yesterday. Arly bought plants for everyone in the office, so I got some purple basil and a purple flower that I don't remember the name of. It's too bad that I don't know how to take care of plants, but I'll buy some pots and pray that the things are low maintenance.

Ohh, for future reference: if you're going to have an argument with me about something, make sure it actually is about something and not just a general thing that you think might be a problem. If it's not broken, don't fix it seriously applies in this situation. I mean, I'm all for the theory that improvements can always be made to everything, so you should never stop brainstorming about ideas and you should always question the status quo, etc...., but seriously, I'm more likely to understand your rant and want to agree with you when you bring up a concrete example of something that needs to be changed and why it should be the way you think it should be. But if your only argument is about the "direction" a group is moving in, it just doesn't cut it anymore. I wish I could elaborate so that you all actually knew what I was talking about, but at this point, I really can't. Don't b.s. when you want to affect my opinions and you want me to do something to advocate change, though, because it's just not going to get done unless there's actually something that you can tell me needs to be changed. All right, I'm done ranting now.

I need sleep. Now.

I think the party was a success. There were people, there was drunkenness, there was Ryan singing the Marineland song. =) I had a lot of fun, especially after 11:30 when I was able to drink since I no longer had to drive people around. Crystal tried to record Iron Chef so that we could play the Iron Chef Drinking Game (I have no cable) but she failed miserably. Don't let Crystal operate electronics, clearly. Nannette and Brad from Delta Alpha came to the party, Ryan came in from Cortland and Liz Hartman came in from Syracuse, so it was great to have visitors! Then, this morning, a group of us went to Friendly's, which is always a good time. Yay for Friendly's ice cream, but not yay for my pocketbook.

So my newest obsessions: Tea Tree Oil Chewing Sticks and Wasabi Green Peas. The Chewing Sticks, are, well, toothpicks. They're very minty and tasty, though (meant to help people stop smoking) and I'm going to use them to stop biting my nails. I almost did it a year and a half ago (until it became winter and they all started snapping off) and I know I can do it this time! The Wasabi Peas are just a snack, but so, so good. All right, so wasabi up your nose isn't so fun (actually kinda painful) if you breathe at the wrong time, but I'm obsessed with both of these things. Jackie, my vegan boss, introduced me to both of these things on Friday, so today I made a stop at Green Star. =)

All right, I'm already updating more regularly, right? Ha, you probably won't hear from me for another 2 weeks! =)

I promise I will try to update more regularly. Really.

So, I'm having a party tonight. I've never actually hosted a party, but lots of people have said they'll come (because not too many parties are going down in Ithaca over the summer) so hopefully it will be good. Bolcar is great and supplied us with alcohol, there will be beer and Ice and margaritas and strawberry daiquiris and the like. Yay. =) I spent all day scrubbing my apt so that it would be nice and clean for my guests. I wish it was a little cooler outside, but there's always the balcony.

Other news: no one wants to cooperate with me as I try and plan a birthday celebration for myself. First problem: none of my friends who are 21 can make it to Ithaca for my birthday. What the hell is their problem??? Geez. Second problem: my cousin's baby shower is on the 11th of August. In Illinois. Argh. I was going to drive out to Illinois for a week right before school started, but now I'll have to go a week earlier. AND, I'm not driving out on either the 9th (because who spends 12 hours in a car on their 21st birthday) or the 10th (because if I'm hungover, it will be more miserable than it already will be). So it looks like I'm going to FLY out, which means I won't have a car which really sucks. ARGH. Maybe I will drive out on the 10th. I could leave late, and get in late, and it won't be so bad, right? Right? I REALLY want to bring my car out with me when I go, it'll make my life so much easier. But, for those of you in Illinois reading this, I'll be home approximately August 10th through August 17th or so. Mark it on your calendars. =)

Apt update: I have a bedframe! One of my roommates interprets this as actually having a bed, but since I've spent many months sleeping on a mattress on the floor (we did at least have box frames) it didn't really bother me. The extra storage space is mighty nice, though. And I'm working on decorating. It's slow coming, though, because I just don't have the time or the energy. Argh. But I have some stuff up, and I'll get the rest up soon, really I will.

Hehehe, I saw this on Mary's livejournal, so I stole the idea from my fellow Leo. =) Besides, I wanted to mention that my birthday is 2 months (minus one day now, I guess, since it's technically Monday) from today! I'll be 21 and legal!!! =)

So I've become a delinquent blogger again, sorry about that. I think only like 2 people read this thing anyways, so I guess it doesn't matter all that much, but I would like my 2 fans to know that I'm still alive and kicking. Kinda.

I've spent the last week moving stuff. My stuff into my apartment, Herb's stuff into my apt (I'm storing it for him to rent to Will), frat stuff into my apt (because it has nowhere else to go), frat stuff into Helen's apt and Cat's apt and last night, Jamie's stuff into her apt. I'm a moving/packing/unpacking machine, I suppose. That's the end, though, because as I was finishing up moving Jamie's stuff, my back started hurting and hasn't stopped hurting, so I think it's screaming at me in protest. So that's it. I hope you all realize what I've gone through - the frat stuff was a nightmare! Staying in my apt are as follows: a couch, a desk that is 8 feet long and just barely fits in my room plus roll-y chair, a coffee table, a roll-y table (yeah, don't ask) and lots of kitchen stuff such as glasses and utensils (odd ones at that). Being stored in my apt and needing a home by the end of the summer are 3 end tables, a chair, and some boxes. And let's not forget that Herb's entertainment system is very big, very expensive and very heavy! All this in my third floor apt, gotta love it.

Besides working and moving, haven't done a whole lot. I got my spare car key back from Herb, so there ends the era of me being chauffered around in my car. Today I spent some time going through PSP boxes (Beta Nu has only had 2 male presidents - Pat and Herb) and Vinny called me - yay! =) I hadn't heard from her in awhile, other than an email. Gotta love cell phones, because it means that I can keep in better touch with my friends! Then Crystal, Jamie and I did a ton of shopping. The mall, Big Lots (I bought a 7 dollar toaster and a 14 dollar blender, among other things) and good ol' Wegmans. Then we all ate dinner at my place, with Cat joining us for a little while, and discussed the wonderful PSP points system, thus traumatizing my poor roommates! I think between the furniture and the points thing, they're now very skeptical of the frat. Ahh well, hopefully they'll get over it.

Speaking of cell phones - I dropped mine last Sunday, so now it does not work very well. I need to take it into Verizon tomorrow to have a technician look at it. Hopefully he'll be able to fix it in a short amount of time, or give me a new phone, which would be very nice, as I have only had the phone for 9 months. But I haven't been able to make a call all week (except for one on Friday to check my voicemail) and calls very seldomly actually go through to me. I've just been checking my voicemail and returning calls on the apt phone, which very few people have the number to, just because I haven't gotten around to sending it out. It must be frustrating to my friends, which is given by the 19 saved voicemails I currently have (I usually don't delete my voicemails, because I don't get THAT many, and because they're all erased after a week).

All right - I should go and clean the kitchen after the cooking extravaganza and because the apt is being fumigated tomorrow. And maybe I'll play a little with Madeline, our cute little kitten! =)
