Life has been pretty dull lately, but hello anyway.
My neck hurts. This is from what I think is 4 consecutive nights of sleeping funny. I'm not happy, but I guess it's my own fault since I'm the one who purchased the bed and the blankets and the pillows, and I'm the one who apparently throws the pillows off the bed while I sleep. It's no wonder I nearly left my pillow in Maine a few weekends ago!
I stayed home from work yesterday in hopes of having a more relaxing day, and I could actually get things done! Unfortunately, that failed. I hate my last week at the old job - I'm sick of saying the things that have gone wrong, and it's not worth it for me to speak up about people walking all over me. *sigh*
Susan's goodbye party was on Friday night, and I saw her very briefly Saturday morning (she was dropping off keys), but otherwise she's gone. So sad, but I know how much she hates Boston. And there was fondue, and her old roommate wanted to make sure that I would go to parties there still even though Susan is gone. So sweet.
Monday night was my going away party thing for work, though only a few coworkers came out for it (mainly just the people I work directly with, but I do like them the best). We went to Shay's in Harvard Square, and I had never been there. Our waitress was a little crazy, but she was nice enough to charge us for a whole bottle of Rioja, even though Elly and I were drinking it by the glass. And apparently they have some good wine specials coming up, so I'd like to go there again (and it's right across from my favorite yarn store, what could be better).
I have done A LOT of drinking lately, what with the wedding, and then last Wednesday and Thursday and Friday and this Monday... yikes. I keep telling myself I'm going to cut back (particularly since it's no fun to go into work hungover) but it doesn't happen. AND it's Wednesday again, so more drinking tonight! I hope it loosens me up enough that the pain in my neck will go away!
