Lalala, I'm awake because I was asked to remain awake just a little while longer. In some ways, the last couple of days have been so.... familiar. It's amazing how, given the right circumstances, we all so very quickly revert back to our old roles. I can see how that might not be a good thing necessarily, but in this situation it is extraordinarily comforting. And at this moment I feel much better about the situation, compared to earlier today, and even yesterday or the day before.
And it looks like I'm going to Ithaca on Saturday! I guess it's good that I'll be less than 3 hours away, as opposed to the normal 6 hours away, despite the fact that it will be an interruption of my vacation. Now I just have to work out logistics (but not tonight, because ohh my it's almost 3am and I have to work in the morning).
